Waiting for packages? As people increasingly rely on online shopping, it is common to be expecting notifications from delivery companies. Unfortunately, scammers impersonate famous brands like DHL and send you malicious text messages or emails. Within, they try to make you believe that you have to track your package delivery status, schedule for redelivery, or solve some technical issue via a link they provide.

Besides text messages, scammers also contact you via email. They may pose as DHL and instruct you to download files or click on links to see the delivery details.
The attachment or link in the email will likely be malicious. Once you click, you will be directed to a fake login page and asked to enter personal information, such as name, home address, phone number, login credentials etc. — or your device will be infected with malware.
