Reetata.com Review: Is it a Scam or Legit?

Beauty products are quite popular as skincare has become a very important aspect of people’s lives. With an increase in the demand for these products, so has the threat of scammers increased. Since scammers can be cunning, it's better to be equipped with the right information.

In this review, we will analyze everything to do with Reetata.com. This is a webshop that focuses on beauty products, but are they legit or a scam? Join us as we share our findings about the site.

Plagiarized Content

Most dubious websites have a tendency of using similar content across multiple webshops. I was curious to know if Reetata.com has done the same and hence I searched this phrase from the About Us section:  “is a new international B2C team,we aims to provide the latest creative gadgets and tools about household, kitchen for The United States”

I was surprised to see the same exact phrase on a couple of other websites like Polaes.com, Salutewi.com, Ohnovo.com and many others. It could indicate that Reetata.com is part of a larger syndicate of scam websites that use duplicate content.

Reetata’s Huge Discounts

Looking around at the products on Reetata.com, I noticed that most seem to have huge discounts and offers. While there is nothing wrong with this, it has become a common move by scammers who use it to entice unsuspecting customers.

For instance, the “Green Tea Deep Cleanse Mask” goes for $24.99 down from $60.00. As if that’s not enough, if you buy more products you get additional discounts. Again, this is a common move used by scammers who will rarely deliver or will deliver substandard products.

When I searched for the same product on Amazon, I was stunned to see the product going for $18.99 ($13.46 / Ounce). This means Reetata.com is actually selling at a slightly higher price even though they claim to be offering a huge discount.

They also have free shipping for all products but within a certain timeframe. This sort of high-pressure sales tactic is only meant to rush a customer into making a purchase.

Customer Reviews

I could not find any customer reviews about Reetata on popular sites like ScamAdviser or Trustpilot. Interestingly though, there are a lot of reviews on certain products like the “Green Tea Deep Cleanse Mask” which has over 30 reviews.

However, there is no way of verifying the legitimacy of reviews. Most of the reviews are positive which looks suspicious and they look too good to be true. The many positive reviews are only meant to dupe customers into thinking the products are working.

Other Telltale Signs We Noticed

According to ScamAdviser and Whois.com, Reetata.com was registered in October 2022. This makes the site relatively new at the time of writing this review. Though there is nothing wrong with a new website, they are generally harder to trust as there is not enough information or history.

I could not find any social media presence on the site which is strange as we live in a digital age. Most webshops use social media to market themselves, which is missing with Reetata.com.

According to the Terms of Service, the services are governed in “accordance with the laws of Hong Kong.”

This is the clearest sign yet that Reetata.com could be a part of a Chinese syndicate that uses different webshops but similar products to scam people. Interestingly, in the “About Us” section, they indicate their products are meant for The United States but there is no indication they are based in the US.

Bottom Line

Overall, there is a high likelihood that Reetata.com is a scam. There are many characteristics that overlap with Chinese scam sites. The webshop is using duplicate content from other dubious websites and they are all relatively new. There are no reviews outside the site even though the website itself has many positive (and unverifiable) reviews.

They claim to cater to customers in the US, yet their Terms and Conditions document states that they are governed by Hong Kong laws. They claim to be offering huge discounts, but the products are actually cheaper on Amazon even after the discount. They have a time-sensitive offer which is just a high-pressure sales tactic. Customers should exercise caution when dealing with Reetata.com. There are more reputable websites out there.
