Ponzada.com Review: Is it Fraud or Legit?

While shopping online has made life a whole lot easier, it has opened a new way for scammers to get their hard-earned money. Therefore, when a site is searched a lot on ScamAdviser, we are compelled to take a look. In this review, we will analyze Ponzada.com and present you with as much information as possible to help make an informed decision.

Ponzada is an online store that sells electronics from TVs to Soundbars to Smart Watches. The site is in Spanish, meaning they target Spanish speakers. But is it a scam or a legit store?

The reviews

Customer reviews are important as they tend to shed light on what to expect from the company. As they say, you must ask those coming from there to know the road ahead. There are many reviews from all the popular and reliable review sites like Trustpilot and ScamAdviser.

On Trustpilot, there are 14 reviews with an average rating of 1.8 stars. Most of the reviews are quite negative with many customers doubting the legitimacy of the site.

On ScamAdviser, the same theme repeats itself with many customers having negative feelings about the site. One customer notes that her emails went unanswered while the phone number did not work.

The start date

Ponzada.com was started in July 2022, making it a few months old at the time of writing this review. According to Whois.com, the domain will expire in 2023, which means they only registered for one year. Most legit domains are registered for 2 or more years.

They have hidden the names of the registrant which makes it harder to know the person behind the company. Additionally, on the website, there is no mention of the owners or the CEO. While nothing is wrong with this, it does not do much to win the users' confidence.

The huge discounts

Companies often use discounts to attract customers to their stores. But when the discounts are too huge and applied to almost all the products, it raises a few eyebrows. Ponzada.com seem to offer discounts on almost all their products.

Some of the products have lower than the average market price which is a red flag. For instance, most HISENSE Ultra HD 4K 50″ TVs go for over £349 while Ponzada sells for way below that.

This is quite common with what we see with other scams that use low prices to lure unsuspecting customers looking for bargain deals.

Bottom Line

Overall, there are a lot of red flags that are hard to ignore. Most of the reviews are negative, with many customers lamenting poor communication and the possibility of the site being a scam. The pricing is quite similar to other dubious sites which does little to win over the confidence of users. There are no social media handles and the site is in Spanish, thus making it harder for non-Spanish speakers to use the site.

There are a lot of characteristics that overlap with what we see with other scams. Caution is advised while shopping at Ponzada.com.
