Kembox.co.uk Review: Is it a Scam or Legit?

When a site gets a lot of attention on ScamAdviser, we are compelled to take a look. In this review, we will be analyzing Kembox.co.uk which was among the most searched sites on ScamAdviser. Kembox.co.uk is an online store that deals with a lot of products such as bicycles, riding scooters, water heaters, vacuums, and much more.

Is it a legit website to be trusted or a scam site to stay away from? Join us as we uncover everything to do with Kembox.co.uk.

Kembox’s Huge Discounts

We noticed some of the products are going for ridiculously low prices with discounts being a common theme. For instance, the “Microsoft Xbox Series S – Fortnite & Rocket League Bundle” goes for £189.99. The same goes for £345.99 on Amazon UK.

Other than that, I noticed other products that have huge discounts and are well below the market price. For instance, most of the bicycles have huge discounts with some, like the Cannondale Scalpel HT Hi-Mod 1 XC Mountain Bike Carbon | Bicycles having a whopping 50% price drop.

Using low prices is a common tactic used by scammers who use huge discounts to lure unsuspecting customers.

Customer Reviews

I found a few reviews about Kembox.co.uk on the popular review website Trustpilot, where the overall rating was 2.5 stars. Most of the reviews were largely negative with many complaining of delayed deliveries and poor communication on the part of Kembox.

On ScamAdviser, I found one review, which was a negative one of a customer who was complaining about how long their order had taken to arrive. The customer also laments that the company never responds to any communication.

Interestingly though, some of the products I found on their websites have 5-star ratings with customers allegedly happy with the products. However, there is no way of verifying the said reviews and they could be generated by the webshop to appear legit.

Where are they Registered?

According to the information I found at the bottom of the website, the registered company is Kembox Ltd, which is located in Unit C, Potters Lane Wednesbury West Midlands, WS10 7LH United Kingdom

When I tried searching for the same information on the Company House, I was surprised to see there is no search company on government records. This could be a desperate attempt to appear legit by randomly listing a company name hoping nobody checks them out.

Where Are They Based?

According to the website, they claim to be located at Unit C, Potters Lane Wednesbury West Midlands, WS10 7LH United Kingdom

However, when I looked it up on Endole, I could not find any company with such a name listed in any of the buildings across the street. This is yet another move that scammers use to try and appear as though they are in the UK. Since customers are likely to trust that they are in the UK and few will bother to actually check out the said location.

Bottom Line

There is a high likelihood that Kembox.co.uk is a scam. Most of the red flags we found are hard to ignore. The prices and huge discounts are synonymous with scams while the company Kembox Ltd. is not registered under the Company House.

Most of the reviews I found outside the site were generally negative, with poor communication and lack of delivery being common complaints. There is no sign of the said company on the listed address which does little to boost the confidence of users. Caution should be exerted when shopping at Kembox.co.uk and you can check some of the more reliable shopping sites here.
