When scrolling online and finding a page that offers good products, one is tempted to take a look. With, Twelfo.shop, there is a lot that catches the eye, and many are wondering if the site is legit or a scam.
Twelfo.shop is an online shop that sells alcohol and delivers it to people at their doorsteps. But when a lot of people searched for information about the site on ScamAdviser, we decided to take a look and see if it is a fraud or a scam.
Oftentimes, a store may run a flash sale or a promotion of some sort where they sell some of their products at a discounted price. But when an online store offers all their products at lower than market prices, it raises more questions than answers.
Twelfo seems to offer almost all their products at way lower prices than other stores. Sometimes, even the “original” price is way below the market average. Take for instance the “W. L. Weller Bourbon 12 Year 1L”. On Twelfo, the retailing price is $72 with the original price being $144.
But on most online stores, the same goes for over $199. This is a common trick by fraudsters who sell their products at ridiculously low to lure customers into making orders.
Any serious online store will have links to their social media pages. At a glance, Twelfo seems to have social media buttons at the top of their pages.
But upon cliocking on the links, the lead to nowhere. This seems to be a delibarate plan to try and seem legit by having fake social media links with the hope that no one clicks them. Upon further research, we found this to be a common trick used by scammers to trick people into thinking they are a well-established site.
Any online store will have some sort of reviews which are handy when trying to figure out the site. Previous customers will tell of their experience with the site which helps potential new customers make better decisions.
But when it comes to twelfo.shop, we could not find any reviews on the major websites like ScamAdviser, Sitejibber or Trustpilot. This could be due to the fact that the domain was registered in April 2022, making the site justa few months old.
This is never a good sign as one is not sure if the site is legit or not. The lack of customer reviews could also mean that other people are shying off from the site and that does not do much to win the confidence of new customers.
Overall, Twelfo.shop seems to be a new website with a few red flags. With most of their products going for very low prices, it seems likely to be a scam. The “original prices” as mentioned on the website are also very low compared to the actual market prices. This is never a good look as lowering prices is a go-to for many scammers who try to win over new customers.
The lack of reviews and non-existent social media links does not help build up our lack of confidence either. Overall, Twelfo.shop seems to be a dubious website and caution is advised while shopping here.
