Trimsher.com is a website operating from November 2021 selling beard trimmers. We decided to take a look at this website after observing that a large number of users had searched ScamAdviser.com to know the likelihood of Trimsher being a scam.
Only one product is sold on the website, which is a gold-and-black beard trimmer with engraved patterns. Trimsher claims that it is selling the trimmer at a 50% discount at the price of $69.95 including shipping. There are multiple banners stating that the offer is valid only for a limited time.
However, these banners seem to be a marketing tactic to pressurize buyers into purchasing quickly without doing their own research. Take a look at the screenshots below showing a timer and the quantity of the product in stock. When I opened a new instance of the website in a new tab, the timer and quantity had reset.
Similar pressure tactics are used on the checkout page too where a banner states that the user would lose the discount if they close the page, even though nothing suggests this is true. The discount is always applicable.
This hinted to me that Trimsher is likely to be a Dropshipping website. Dropshippers take orders on their own website for products sold on platforms such as AliExpress. They then place these orders on behalf of the customer. The products are advertised on social media sites and sold at a high profit margin.
Trimmers similar to those sold by Trimsher can be found on AliExpress. While Trimsher is selling the trimmers for $69.95, they are available for purchase directly from China for just $9 to $14 including shipping.
There is an EMC Compliance certificate linked on Trimsher’s website which clearly shows that it is a Chinese product.
Trimsher’s website contains no contact information and two different companies are mentioned. The footer of the website mentions the company name Ecomm Movadgency S.L.. This company is supposedly located in Madrid, Spain and was created in November 2017.
I found that there are at least 78 other websites also being operated by Ecomm Movadgency S.L. selling various different items or having mentions of the company. The list of websites is given at the end of the article.
Looking up the company on Google revealed that it has a 2.4 out of 5 rating on Google, hinting that more than half its customers are unhappy.

Clicking on About Us on trimsher.com led me to the website of a company named Ecom7 Limited based in Hong Kong. Curiously, the impressum text is written in German. I found that Ecom7 is operating at least 10 other websites too.
Upon checking the product reviews on Treimsher’s website, it is my opinion that they look fake. For example, there are reviews about the beard trimmer apparently written by women. The images of the reviewers are stock images and not those of customers. The same reviews were found on several of the other websites operated by Ecomm Movadgency S.L.

The disclaimer makes little sense as no healthcare products are being sold on the website. The disclaimer is a vestige of Ecomm Movadgency S.L. using the same website template to advertise other dropshipped health products such as back support bras and anti-snoring wrist bands.
Trimsher has no social media pages and no customer reviews could be found either.
In conclusion, even though Trimsher does not appear to be an outright scam, we urge shoppers to check platforms such as Aliexpress when considering buying such products. In a lot of cases, you can save a significant portion of money by ordering directly from these platforms instead of middlemen or dropshippers. Marketplace platforms also generally have better consumer protection policies which are helpful in case the product is sub-par or undelivered.
