Is perffct.com a Fraud or Legit Business?

With many online stores, there is always a thin line between trusting and disregarding them. Gaining trust is no small feat as people will always guard their hard-earned money jealously. As there are many fashion stores on the internet, getting duped can be very easy.

When an online store gets a lot of attention from ScamAdviser, we are tempted to find find out more about it. That is the same case with perffct.com, an online store that sells clothes, which appeared on the most searched list on ScamAdviser.

When were they started?

Usually, the older the store, the more confidence it wins with the customers. Since most stores realize this is the case, they always want to appear older than they actually are. In the case of perffct.com, they claim the owner started the site 2 years after the birth of a daughter in 2011. They even go ahead and claim they were named in the annual Inc. 500 list in 2018.

However, on ScamAdviser and Whois, it shows the site was started in October 2020. Why would a legit site lie about their start date? Why are there conflicting information about when they started? Sometimes, we have seen dubious websites use the same trick to appear legit.

Who is behind the company?

The owners of a company play such a crucial role as customers always want to know who is behind the name. On the Contact Us page, the site claims that the owners are Kentesh Ltd. This is yet another plot to dupe people into thinking this is a registered company.

Kentesh Ltd has been the go to for other dubious websites like Bonaloty.com. Most web stores claim to be under the company just to appear legit.

The unthoughtful return policy
In case a customer receives the wrong or defective item, the only logical thing is to return the product. But what happens when the company makes its harder for you? For the case of perffct.com, customer only have 12 hours to return the items.

This seems hurried as one has to first contact the company, get a response and rush to the post office, or whichever corrier and return the products. While most reliable companies give customers ample time to return the defective products, with perffct.com, customers have less than a day.

On top of that, customers must pay the cost of shipping the items back. This is a common trick that scammers use to make it harder to return the products. Sometimes, the return costs much more than the actual cost of the item as the products arrive from China.

The extremely cheap prices

There is an old saying that goes, “if the deal is too good, think twice”. Perffct.com seems to be offering most, if not all, of their products at a discount. The main problem is, most of their products seem to go for a standard price of $13.95 irrespective of the original price.

This is another common practise where scammers lower the prices so much that the customers are tempted to buy. On top of that, there are no reviews on any of the products. We could also not find any reviews outside the website on sites like ScamAdviser or Trustpilot.

Bottom Line
Overall, there are many characteristics that overap with what we see with other scams. Customers should be cautious while shopping on perffct.com. The registered company name appears on many other dubious websites, while the return policy makes it harder for customers to return defective or wrong products.

There is conflicting information about when the site was started and the prices seem to be too good to be true. Customers should be looking out for other reliable and reputable web shops.
