Pearclo.com is a relatively new website as it has been registered only around the end of March 2020. It is registered in Hong Kong and the organization name has been given as Chicv International Holding Limited. The Alexa Rank and website speed indicate that it is a somewhat popular website which provides an optimal user experience.
On the negative side, it is hosted on the same server as four other websites, two of which have low Trust Scores and are considered as likely to be scams.
Pearlclo claims to provide heavy discounts on its products for purchases of multiple items, free shipping and a 10% discount for first-time customers. However, the prices seem to be inflated as the same products are available for cheaper prices on other sites like Amazon.
There is a section of the website called ‘Brand Pearlclo’, which gives the impression that these items are exclusive to the website. This is not the case, as the same products are available on other Chinese websites too, namely Lilicloth and Moyauser. These websites have a similar layout to Pearclo and might be related. Many of them also have the same or neighbouring IP addresses, which signals that Pearclo could be part of a network of hundreds of ecommerce websites. The full list is given at the end of the website in the Appendix.
The footer of the home page contains a snippet of text which says ‘pearlclo is a platform from the online fashion shop with independent fashion designers’. A Google search of this text revealed that there are at least 93 other online stores using the same text. One of these websites is Moyauser which is listed above. Therefore, neither the content nor products on Pearlclo are original. The images used are also low-quality, which could mean that they have been copied from another website.
There is a ‘Customer Reviews’ page on the website which is empty. In any case, reviews on the website itself are not reliable and should always be cross-checked with reviews from third-party websites such as Scamadviser and TrustPilot.
The payment methods offered by Pearlclo are Paypal and credit card. The Paypal account is named ‘pearlclo’ and the credit card payment process has proper validation; therefore, the payment methods seem to be secure.

Scamadviser Verification
The Scamadviser page of Pearlclo has not been claimed by the company.
The only contact information provided by Pearclo is an email address. The email ID was found to be working when tested. No phone number or address has been provided; there is not even a return address mentioned on the ‘Return’ page.
Even the company name ‘Chicv International Holding Limited’ is not mentioned anywhere on the website, probably to avoid customers from coming across the complaints against the company. Indeed, a Google search for ‘Chicv International Holding Limited’ brings up a list of negative reviews and Paypal disputes lodged against them. There is even a Facebook page named ‘Stop scammer ChicV’ created in December 2018. Unhappy customers have alleged that they received products which were not as advertised and that they were denied refunds.
There are only a few reviews available for Pearclo on Scamadviser that have been left using the Facebook comments plugin. These customers have mentioned the same complaints which have been filed by previous customers of Chicv International Limited, such as products not matching descriptions, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds. One of the users has even mentioned that they purchased from another website selling the same items that turned out to be a scam.
The positive reviews among them seem to be written by fake accounts, as their liked pages include other stores of Chicv International, including Moyauser.
Pearlclo has a rating of 4.3 out of 5 from 35 reviews on TrustPilot. However, these reviews seem to be fake as they have all been written by new accounts that have not written any other reviews. The few negative reviews echo the same comments as above.
There is a high likelihood that Pearlclo is a scam.
The website has a Trust Score of 1% on Scamadviser, which indicates that it is risky to shop on this website. You can know more about Pearlclo’s Trust Score here.
The website is trying to hide the fact that it is operated by Chicv International Limited based in Hong Kong, which has several complaints against it from unhappy customers. There are no contact details provided on the website except for an email ID. The products on the website are not original and Pearclo is related to more than 90 other online stores selling the same products. Most of the reviews seem to be fake as they have been written by new accounts or accounts made by the company itself. It is recommended to avoid purchasing from Pearlclo, as there is a high chance of having a bad shopping experience.
Pearlclo is one among countless e-commerce stores which put a low priority on customer service. It is important to exercise caution when shopping online to avoid losing your money or ending up unhappy with your purchase.
