Is Oroskin.co Legit or a Fraud?

Oroskin.co claims to be World's #1 IPL Hair Removal Company. As the site was among the top searched sites on ScamAdviser, we decided to take a look and write this review. New products in the market are usually a breath of fresh air as they help improve previous products. But, this is also a rich hunting ground for scammers and dubious websites.

Copied content?

Any legit website will strive to have original content that sets them apart from others. Authentic content is also important as Google and other search engines will thoroughly punish copied content.

When I searched some of the content on the “About Us” page, I was shocked to see the text appearing on many other websites. In particular, I searched this phrase;

“...We pride ourselves in being experts in all things beauty tech. We understand how intimate the process of hair removal can be and we don’t take that lightly.”

 The same phrase appears on many other sites like Floret Skin, Secretreza, and Happy Skin Co.

Why would a serious business copy from others? Interestingly, this is a common trick used by scammers to quickly create new websites by duplicating the same text over and over.

Where are the reviews?

It’s easier for a company to use fake reviews on their website as there is no way of authenticating them. However, with other review websites like Sitejabber, MyWOT, or Trustpilot, it's more genuine as the said company does not have any control over the reviews.

What I found intriguing was there were no reviews on other sites but on Oroskin.co, there were over 500 reviews, most of which were very positive. On Facebook, the site has an active social media presence with a Facebook page having been started in April 2021. But there are no comments on their posts.

Unbelievable discounts

Their products all have huge discounts that raise a few eyebrows. Don’t get it wrong, offering discounts is not a wrong move. But when the discounts are as high as 50%, we are compelled to ask how the company is meeting its operational costs. They also offer free shipping worldwide, which would eat into their profits. We often see websites falsely inflating the prices of cheap goods and then offering steep discounts to make them seem like a good value.

Bottom Line

In conclusion, there are a lot of characteristics that overlap with what we see with other scams.

The items are supposedly sold at huge discounts and with free shipping, you start to wonder if the deal is too good to be true. There are no reviews outside the website with the chances of being manipulated very high. Caution is to be exercised while shopping on this site. There are many more reliable and trusted websites where you can get hair removal products.
