Is mcxworks.com Legit or A Scam?

MCXworks.com is a website that claims that it is "currently the world's largest video big data platform, part-time sharing platform and video paid advertising platform." Yet there is clearly neither data nor videos on the site. Our investigation reveals that there is a high likelihood of MCX Works being a scam. Read on to know why.

An analysis of key aspects of a website can tell you whether or not it is trustworthy. Here we look at mcxworks.xyz in detail to determine if it is legit or a scam.

1. Domain name

mcxworks.com and mcxgroup.xyz > both domains registered in September 2021 yet the website claims that the company started operating in 2010.

  • mcxeec.cc > Domain registered in July 2021 and is about some solar equipment. Doesn't seem to have any real connection to the above sites except for the contact information.

2. Address

1266 W.Paces Ferry Rd Suite 187 Atlanta, GA 30327, USA > Likely fake as it points to some residence.

3. Phone number

Carries the California area code even though the address is of Georgia. The line is a virtual VoIP line that can be operated from anywhere in the world. Therefore the claim of being a US company is likely false.

4. Email

They use a free gmail : mcxworks@gmail.com and mcxeec@gmail.com. Lack of a professional email ID is a red flag.

5. Site Content

Quality of all the websites is really low and they do not appear professional. Some photos of the products are blurry and poor quality.

Conclusion

  • Mcxworks shows all the classic signs of a pyramid scheme. Joining for rewards, easy money and focus on referrals to earn more.
  • It is likely to be the same scam as SoJob and DidiJob covered on FakeWebsiteBuster.com. Even the interface looks the same.
  • They claim to be offering infrastructure technologies, but why do they need you to sign up for an account before you can see their products? Possibly has a Multi-level Marketing/ Pyramid Scheme angle to it.
