Is Maximomarket.com a Scam or Legit?

On ScamAdviser there has been a popular question, is Maximomarket.com legit or a scam? Well, in this review, we are going to analyze everything there is to know about the website and give you, our dear readers, all the necessary information.

Maximomarket.com is an online store that sells a variety of products such as blenders, Bluetooth speakers, fridges, and freezers. However, can you trust them with your money or will they defraud you? Let’s find out.

Cheap Prices

Though there is nothing wrong with a seller offering low prices, we have to question the legitimacy when a deal is too good. On Maximomarket.com, some of the prices listed are way below the market price.

A case in point is the KENWOOD KMD60X19 Fridge Freezer which is quoted at £411.00.

The same Fridge/freezer is listed, at the lowest, £599.00 by other webshops like Which and Currys. Such huge drops in prices raise doubts about the legitimacy of Maximomarket as low prices are common with scam shops.

The Real Owners of Maximomarket.com

On their Terms of Service, they claim that they are owned by TARACH GLOBAL TRADE LTD which is registered in the UK.

However, Tarach Global’s website (tarachglobaltrade.com) has no mention of any other companies or agents.

Plus, the above company claims they sell items such as grains, nuts, fruits and vegetables and more. There is no mention of gadgets and accessories which are the items that Maximomarket is offering.

The other interesting part I noticed is that the addresses on both websites don’t match. On Maximomarket.com, they claim they are based at Unit 3, Trinity Business Park, Trinity Way, Chingford, London, E4 8TD.

On Tarachglobaltrade.com, they claim to be based at Flat 5, 23 Holmlea Road, Datchet, slough, United Kingdom. This further raises suspicion and casts doubt on the legitimacy of Maximomarket.com.

Registration Details

On Whois.com, I found that the website was registered in 2011. In most cases, the older a website, the more likely it is to be legit.

However, there are doubts about Maximomarket.com as, according to Archive.org, the website has been inactive for a large period.

I could not help but notice that TARACH GLOBAL TRADE LTD was incorporated in April 2014 according to the data on the Company House.

There are a lot of questions arising from this like, why was the Maximomarket registered before the parent company? Did Tarach Global acquire the website later after incorporation? Considering all the inconsistencies, it seems possible that there is no actual relation between Maximomarket and Tarach Global.

Customer Reviews

Customer reviews come in handy as they help shed light on what to expect. For Maximomarket.com, I only found negative reviews with customers doubting the legitimacy of the webshop.

One customer is pointing out some red flags such as lack of social media presence and the fact that they have used a paid service to mask their identity. I could not find other reviews on popular sites such as Trustpilot. I found this quite strange for a website that was registered over a decade ago.

Bottom Line

In general, there is an incredibly high likelihood that Maximomarket.com may be a scam. There are a lot of characteristics that overlap with online shopping scams. They seem to offer products at cheaper prices compared to other online stores and claim to be owned by TARACH GLOBAL TRADE LTD. even though there does not appear to be any relation between the website and the company

There is no mention of Maximomarket on the latter’s website and the addresses listed differ. Despite Maximomarket.com being registered in 2011, I could not find a lot of reviews except a few negative ones on ScamAdviser.

Caution should be emphasized when shopping at Maximomarket.com as there are more reliable online marketplaces out there.
