Is Lodielle.com a Scam or Legit? | Website Review

Lodielle is a website that claims to be selling clothing items at discounted prices. It has consistently been among the most-searched websites on Scamadviser.com. Therefore, we have done an in-depth review for the benefit of our users.

Lodielle is a website that claims to be selling various women’s clothing items such as dresses, swimsuits, pajamas, shoes and more. The domain name was registered in October 2020 in Guangdong, China. Important information such as the registrant’s name and contact details have not been provided. Therefore, it is a new website that is being operated anonymously from a high-risk country.

The products on the website do not seem to be original. The images appear to have been lifted from various sites and they have been cropped to hide brand names and models’ faces. The prices on Lodielle are much cheaper compared to competitors, which suggests that the products being sold may not actually be the ones pictured. This hints at a possibility that Lodielle might be engaging in deceptive practices.

The text on the website is not original either. The content on the ‘About Us’ page is being used by a number of other websites. The page also states that ‘Lodielle is an online global store located in Hong Kong’. However, no company name or office address has been provided anywhere on the website.

The same is the case with the content in the ‘Our Story’ page. Additionally, this page also seems to have some inconsistencies and falsehoods. For example, the page mentions that Lodielle started in 2019 but the domain registration information clearly shows that the site did not exist before October 2020. The page also says that customers who shop on the site are supporting ‘great art and artists’ even though there is reason to believe that Lodielle is selling mass-produced Chinese clothing not based on original designs.

I analyzed the websites that were found to contain the same content as Lodielle using the Scamadviser Analyzer. The findings reveal that all 8 websites have shared IP addresses and Lodielle itself shares an IP address with 4 of these websites. This shows that all the stores are operated by the same owners.

While testing the checkout process, I found that the PayPal account being used for Lodielle’s transactions is called ‘Lingyue Network Technology’. This is suspicious as this company name is not mentioned anywhere on the website.

Further, there are multiple complaints against Lingyue Network Technology in PayPal’s forums. The same account is being used on numerous websites and customers have alleged that they were victims of a bait-and-switch scam. They were also refused refunds unless they shipped the items back to China at their own cost, which is a common trick used by Chinese scammers to make customers give up on refunds. Scamadviser Verification

The Scamadviser page of Lodielle has not been claimed by the company.

The only contact method provided on the website is an email ID ‘service@Lodielle.com’. There are multiple instances on the website where this is misspelt, for example ‘services’ instead of ‘service’ and ‘Loddielle’ instead of ‘Lodielle’. This shows that Lodielle is not a professionally run operation.

The ‘Contact Us’ page also contains the information of Vankin Company Ltd., which is likely to be a shell company registered in the UK as it has Chinese owners. This company is being used to operate hundreds, maybe even thousands, of websites with a horrible track record for customer satisfaction. As the domain registration information clearly shows that Lodielle is a Chinese website, the details of the UK company appear to be serving simply as an eyewash.

There is a ‘factory address’ of a location in China hidden in the ‘Terms of Service’ page. There is no way to verify whether Lodielle has a factory at this location or even if it is a real location at all.

Lodielle links to a Facebook page and Instagram profile on its website. The Instagram profile has more than 12,000 followers despite not having a single post, suggesting that it may be a purchased account.

Interestingly, I found that Lodielle has two separate Facebook pages. Not only is it suspicious for a brand to have multiple pages on the same social media platform, but both these pages have also been created on the same day. One of the pages is even being used to run ads on Facebook and Instagram.

The page information shows that these pages are being run from India, apart from China and Macau. This is a bit odd as it has already been established that Lodielle is a Chinese website. One of the pages also has a USA phone number carrying the area code of Oregon. This is likely to be fake as we know that Lodielle is not an American company.

User Reviews

I could not find any proper reviews for Lodielle online. The closest thing available were Youtube comments on videos about Lodielle where customers have alleged that they got scammed. However, they have not gone into detail about their experiences.

Conclusion

There is an extremely high likelihood that Lodielle might be a scam.

It has a Trust Score of 1% on Scamadviser, indicating that it is incredibly risky to shop on this website. You can read more about Lodielle’s Trust Score here.

Lodielle is a relatively new website created in October 2020 and is being operated from China which is a high-risk country for scams. The products on the site do not seem to be original as the images look like they have been lifted from various different websites. The prices are also dubious as they are remarkably lower than competitors.

The content used on Lodielle’s website is not original either. The same content is shared by at least 8 other websites. All of these appear to be related to Lodielle as they share IP addresses. This shows that Lodielle is part of an organized network of Chinese ecommerce stores.

The PayPal account being used by Lodielle is of a company called Lingyue Network Technology. This account is used on multiple websites and there are several complaints against this company by PayPal users. The grievances include bait-and-switch advertising, delayed delivery, poor customer service and refusal to provide refunds.

Lodielle’s website does not contain any real information about the company that is running the website. The company information provided is of Vankin Company Ltd. registered in the UK, which shows signs of being a shell company. This company is associated with hundreds of Chinese online stores and almost all of them have overwhelmingly negative reviews.

Lodielle does not link to any social media profiles on the website. However, I found that it has two separate Facebook pages, both created on the same day. This is shady as no genuine brand will create two pages on the same platform for the same purposes. One of these pages is also being used to run ads on Facebook and Instagram.

The only way to contact Lodielle is by email, as no phone number or address has been provided. It is advisable to avoid shopping on Lodielle, as the chances of having a poor shopping experience are enormously high.
