Holafancy is a website that claims to be selling various clothing items for men and women, such as tops, bottoms, tshirts, shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, pants, jeans, shorts and more.
The website is a few months old as the domain name was registered only in September 2020. The registrant’s location has been given as Guangdong, China. However, important details such as the registrant’s name and contact details have not been mentioned. Therefore, it is a relatively new website that is being operated anonymously from a high-risk country.
The website itself is of low-quality and resembles countless other Chinese ecommerce stores. The images on Holafancy’s website are not actual photos of the products; designs have been superimposed onto templates of models. Therefore, the images can be considered deceptive as they are not accurate depictions of the products that customers might receive.
The products themselves are not unique and can be found on hundreds of other websites, most of which appear to be dubious Chinese online stores.
The same can also be found on Chinese sites like Taobao and AliExpress, however, the prices on Holafancy are higher. As we can see in the image below, the sweatshirt being sold on Holafancy for $28.33 (supposedly discounted from the original price of $39) can be found on AliExpress for just $17.56, which is a price difference of 38%.
The text content on the website is not original either. The About Us page contains copied text that can be found on at least 20 other websites. The page also contains the name of another website called Extratopia instead of Holafancy. This suggests that Holafacy might be part of a network of online stores operated by the same company.
Data from the Scamadviser Analyzer shows that 16 out 20 (80%) of the websites have shared IP addresses, which suggests that they are indeed part of the same network. These sites also have an Average Review Score of 1 out of 5, meaning that customers are largely unhappy with their purchases.
Alarm bells started ringing even louder in my head when I saw that Extratopia is an exact clone of Holafancy. It is extremely suspicious that a company would set up two cloned websites under different names to sell the same products.
Even the Terms & Conditions page mentions Extratopia instead of Holafancy. This hints that Holafancy and Extratopia are not professionally-run operations.
Both the websites also have identical banners declaring that the sites are going out of business. This seems to be a fake statement made to give customers an illusion of value. As we already saw, the products on these sites are overpriced and the websites are quite new.
The most astonishing revelation came when I checked the name of the PayPal account associated with the website, which is ‘ORDERPLUS INTERNATIONAL LIMITED’. This is the name of a collection of websites with ties to ChicV Holdings Ltd.. The websites in these networks are notorious for giving customers a bad shopping experience.

Scamadviser Verification
The Scamadviser page of Holafancy has not been claimed by the company.
There are no real company details anywhere on Holafancy’s website. There is also no indication given that Holafancy is run by a Chinese company.
The only contact information provided is an email ID, once again of Extratopia. The email address was found to be invalid when tested. Therefore, it seems that Holafancy does not have any form of customer support.
There is no phone number or address mentioned on the website. There is not even a return address.
The footer of the website has social media links, but these lead to the pages of a third website called Liveliky. It is interesting to note that the Facebook page of Liveliky has been taken down, presumably due to complaints from users.
Upon checking Facebook directly, I found that three separate pages have been created for Holafancy. All the pages were created just a few days apart and two of them are even running ads on Facebook and Instagram. The page information clearly shows that these pages are operated from China.
No reviews for Holafancy, Extratopia or Livelikey could be found.
There is an extremely high likelihood that Holafancy might be a scam.
It has a Trust Score of 1% on Scamadviser, indicating that it is tremendously risky to shop on this website. You can read more about Holafancy’s Trust Score here.
Holafancy is a relatively new website that was created in September 2020 and is being run from China, which is a high risk country for scams. There is no disclosure regarding the Chinese origin on the website itself, which is the first red flag.
There is reason to believe that Holafancy is part ChicV Ltd’s vast network of Chinese online stores. These stores are operated by the same company and sell the same or similar items. The concerning part is that pretty much all the websites have identical complaints against them such as deceptive advertising, inferior quality of the clothing, wrong size and fit, poor customer support, customer-unfriendly policies and difficulty in getting refunds.
The images on the website are not those of the actual products, as they are simply images of designs superimposed into images of models. Therefore, the images may not be an accurate representation of what customers actually receive.
All over the website, there are mentions of another store called Extratopia, which is actually an exact clone of Holafancy. The social media links on the website are of a third website called Liveliky. This is a clear indication that Holafancy is part of an organized network of online stores.
Holafancy has three separate Facebook pages, all of which were created just a few days apart in September 2020. Two of these pages are being used to advertise on Facebook and Instagram. The page information corroborates the fact that Holafancy is a Chinese operation.
The email ID provided on the website is also of Extratopia. This email address was found to be inactive, which means that Holafancy has no form of customer support. There is also no company information given on the website, such as a company name, phone number or address.
All the signs indicate that Holanfacy is not a trustworthy website. As such, it is advisable to avoid shopping on the website due to the risk of having a poor experience.
Holafancy is one among countless dubious e-commerce stores that originate from China but do not disclose their origins. It is important to exercise caution when shopping online to avoid losing your money or ending up unhappy with your purchase.
