Hipbel is an online store that claims to be selling women’s clothing items such as tops, jackets, dresses, skirts, shoes, jewellery and more. The domain name was registered in September 2020. The registrant’s details such as name, location and contact details have not been provided. This means that the website is being operated anonymously.
The site itself does not look impressive, as the same generic design is used by countless Chinese ecommerce stores. The website is targeting Spanish-speaking audiences judging by the website language. There are at least two websites operating under the ‘Hipbel’ name. However, both are identical in every way.
The products being sold on the website look a bit fishy, as they are edited images that do not show the actual products.
Additionally, the products being sold by Hipbel can also be found on numerous other webshops. Many of these sites use the same design as Hipbel, which is the first indication that they might be related in some way. Further, some of these sites such as Airycloth have earlier been found to have a high likelihood of being scams.
The textual content on the website is not original either. There are at least 46 other websites that are using the same text. The email address was found on the Shipping & Delivery page after searching. No phone number or address is mentioned, except the address of ChicV UK Ltd which is specified as not being a return address. No return address has been provided.
