Is Firingon.com Legit or a Scam? A Detailed Investigation

Is Firingon.com safe or a scam? This is a popular question circulating among online shoppers, especially on ScamAdviser. Seeing that Firingon.com has been among the most searched sites, we went on a quest to find out more about the webshop.

Firingon.com is an online store that sells various products such as toys and paintings. They claim to be a factory outlet shop, but are they legit or a scam? Let’s find out, shall we?

Hidden Whois Information: A Cause for Concern

When digging deeper into Firingon.com, the first red flag emerges—the concealment of Whois information. Typically, this data provides valuable insights into a website's domain registration. The hidden Whois information raises doubts about the intentions and overall trustworthiness of Firingon.com.

Plus, this is a fairly new website having been registered in April 2023. Though this does not mean it's a scam, it does little to boost customer confidence as there is limited information available.

Limited Product Selection and Questionable Completeness

Upon exploring the website itself, it's quite clear that the product selection, under “All Products”  is remarkably limited. They are offering only a handful of items for purchase which is highly unusual for most webshops.

Moreover, the absence of a comprehensive product catalog could indicate the store is only meant to last a short while.

Elusive Ownership and Dubious Associations

Another disconcerting aspect pertains to the elusive ownership information provided by firingon.com. On the "Contact Us" page, the website lists Meledo Company Limited, as the potential owners.

However, upon closer scrutiny, our investigation uncovers an association between Meledo Company Limited and numerous dubious websites. Some of which have been flagged as scams such as Moikola.com and Meteoraire.com.

There is a high possibility that Meledo Company Limited is a shell company established by Chinese operators, exploiting its UK registration to deceive unsuspecting consumers. In our ScamAdviser Coin ‘Scams’ the Internet for April Fool's article, we highlighted how easy it is for scammers to set up shop in the UK.

Duplicated Content and Potential Network Connection:

Upon further examination, I identified duplicated content on Firingon.com. The following phrase; At www.firingon.com we love every passion and interest on Earth. And to spread exactly that is our core vision, on their About Us page is copied.

The same content is also in other suspicious websites like Theclassycore.com and myspotifygifts.com.au. This duplication implies a potential connection between Firingon.com and a broader network of fraudulent online stores, raising further concerns about its legitimacy.

There is a high possibility that this scam network, which we refer to as a “Uniqueness Scam”, has thousands of scam websites that use the same content and tactic to dupe customers.

Other Telltale Signs

There are several other issues that make us doubt Firingon.com. They include;

  • Almost all products have huge discounts which raise a few eyebrows. When the deal is too good, you exercise caution.
  • Significantly, firingon.com lacks social media presence. This omission is highly unusual for a legitimate webshop operating in the digital era.
  • I could not find any customer reviews which does not help build an already fragile user confidence.

Final Verdict: Is Firingon.com Legit or a Scam?

In general, there are a lot of red flags that suggest Firingon.com is likely a scam. There are several characteristics commonly associated with scam websites such as concealed Whois information, huge discounts, and limited product selection.

Furthermore, we found similarities with other dubious websites such as the use of the same company and duplicated content. There are no customer reviews to gauge the experience and the lack of social media presence paints a worrisome picture.

Potential customers should exercise caution when contemplating purchases from

Firingon.com. There are undoubtedly more reputable online marketplaces available that prioritize transparency and foster customer trust.
