Is Bo-shopify.com Legit or a Scam?

There has been a lot of interest in ScamAdviser about Bo-shopify.com. This leads us to do a deep dive into the site and bring you this analysis to help you make an informed decision.

Bo-shopify.com is an online site that offers a wide range of products such as electronics, sofas and appliances. However, are they legit or a scam? Let’s find out, shall we?

The Not-so-Clever Tactics

One of the first things you notice is a pop-up indicating a certain customer has bought a product. They include the alleged name, country, date and time the product was bought.

Furthermore, they also include a timer on the product pages which is meant to mentally pressure customers into buying a product. They claim that a sale will end in an hour or so and hence customers need to hurry. Of course, this is just a plot to rush you into buying a product and is very effective with impulse buyers.

Additionally, they also include the number of people allegedly viewing a product and the number of items supposedly left in stock. Again this is a psychological game meant to push you into quickly buying a product. It's often used by scammers who want customers to act fast as this reduces chances of doing due diligence.

Bo-shopify.com Customer Reviews

I struggled to find any reviews online about Bo-shopify.com. The only review I found was on ScamAdviser and it was a negative review.

Interestingly, I found a lot of positive reviews on Bo-shopify.com with many of the customers allegedly happy with the products they received. However, there is no way of verifying the authenticity of the reviews.

Why Use Gmail for Official Emails?

I also noticed that the email listed on the website is sarkilsat49@gmail.com and pamelagsdgBell@gmail.com.

Anyone can open a Gmail account which makes us doubt the legitimacy of Bo-shopify.com. Plus having two different emails is meant to create confusion and is often used by scammers.

Other Telltale Signs

There are several other issues that I noticed about the site which raises an eyebrow. They include:

  • I could not find any social media handles and the buttons on the site are only meant to boost user confidence by assuming they are on social media.
  • Most of the products have huge discounts with some as high as 93% off.
  • The prices are ridiculously low which is common with scammers who use this to lure unsuspecting customers.
  • The is a pop-up that shows the shop is closing soon which could suggest this is a short-term site.
  • They refer to other sites, especially on the “About Us” page which could suggest that Bo-shopify.com is part of the Uniqueness Scam.
  • They list random locations in Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand to appeal to residents of these countries yet there is little to suggest they are actually based there.

Conclusion

Overall, there are a lot of red flags that suggest that Bo-shopify.com is likely a scam. The prices are ridiculously low, the discounts are insane, and on top of that they are using some high-pressure sales tactics.

They have some positive reviews and testimonials on the site though I struggled to find others on the internet. Furthermore, they list other sites on their About Us page which could suggest they are a part of a scam network.

Caution should be exercised when shopping at Bo-shopify.com. There are more reliable online shopping sites out there.
