Is Alarmchip.com Legit or a Scam? | ScamAdviser

Today we're going on a wild ride through the world of online shopping, where the deals are hot and the scams are hotter. You've stumbled upon a website that seems too good to be true, and you're wondering if you should take the plunge or hit the eject button.

Read on as we uncover everything there is to know about Alarmchip.com which is an online store that sells everything from baby stroller bags to baby monitors. Let’s find out if it's legit or a scam.

High-Pressure Sales Tactics

I noticed that Alarmchip.com is using high-pressure sales tactics to rush customers into making a purchase. For instance, on product pages, there is a timer that claims; "Hurry up! Sale Ends in" and there is a running clock. On top of that, there is a pop-up to show a certain customer has bought the exact product, just to put more pressure on the customer to make a purchase.

Such tactics are typically designed to create a sense of urgency and scarcity, leading customers to believe they must act quickly before the opportunity is gone.

Alarmchip.com is using pop-up notifications and a running clock to create a sense of urgency and pressure customers into making hasty decisions. These tactics can be particularly effective on people susceptible to impulse buying or who fear missing out on a good deal. The tactics are common with scammers who want to rush customers into making a purchase.

Part of a Larger Scheme?

Alarmchip.com is a dubious website that appears to be part of a larger network of deceitful sites that engage in the practice of stealing content from other sources. When I searched for a phrase I found on their website on Google, I was stunned to see it appear on many other websites. The phrase; “When you reveal your true self, you open the door to possibilities; Here, everything becomes a new opportunity to engage with the world around you. A chance to express yourself the way you are and live your life without restrictions.”

The same appears on many other websites like Baitdesk.com and could indicate that Alarmchip is part of a larger network of scam websites that are using the same layout and content.

Alarmchip.com Customer Reviews

Despite the site being a few months old, I could not find a lot of customer reviews. In fact, I only found one customer review on ScamAdviser. The customer was critical of the site and claimed to have ordered bedding and got a scarf instead.

Bottom Line

Overall, there is a high likelihood that Alarmchip.com is a scam. The characteristics overlap with online shopping scams. The content used is similar to other dubious websites which could indicate that they are part of a larger scam network. The site also uses high-pressure sales tactics to psychologically pressure the customers into making a purchase. There are not many customer reviews and the ones we found were negative.

Customers should exercise caution when shopping at alarmchip.com as there are more reputable shopping sites out there you can try.
