The website has been registered in Guangdong, China. The registrant’s other details such as name and contact details have not been provided. Therefore, all we know about the website’s ownership that it is being operated from China.
The site itself does not look impressive, as the same generic design is used by countless Chinese ecommerce stores. The website is targeting a French audience judging by the website language. The products being sold on the website look a bit fishy, as they are edited images that do not show the actual products.
Additionally, the products being sold by Ailinova can also be found on numerous other webshops. Many of these sites use the same design as Ailinova, which is the first indication that they might be related in some way. Further, many of these sites such as Lilicloth, Nordcloth and StyleWe and have earlier been found to have a high likelihood of being scams.

The names of these websites are given at the end of the article in the ‘Appendix’ section. We analyzed the IP addresses of these websites and found that all 8 of them have shared or neighbouring IP addresses. Ailinova shares the same IP address as 4 of these and has the neighbouring IP address of 2 others. This implies that they are operated by the same company.
As some of these websites have been known to be run by a suspicious UK shell company named ChicV Ltd., there is a high possibility that Ailinova is another among ChicV Ltd.’s hundreds of websites.
Some of the text on the website is in English, which once again suggests that Ailinova is one of ChicV Ltd.’s loosely-translated websites.
Another link suggesting that Ailinova may be run using a UK shell company is that the Terms & Conditions page refers to the site operating in accordance with UK laws, despite the website clearly having been created from China.
