Coordination and data sharing with other law enforcement agencies.
Reports made to the FTC are shared with more than 3,000 law enforcers. It may not resolve your report but, rest assured, your information is used to bring cases against frauds, scams, and bad business practices.
The FTC also provides Data & Visualizations to check what is happening in your state or metro in the USA only.
Open the FTC website.
Select “report now” on the FTC website homepage.
This takes you to the next page with the following options:
Whichever option you select will direct you to the next page where you fill in the scam details.
Next, describe the events of the scam in clear and elaborate detail:
Then you fill in your details and click continue.
Lastly, click Submit.
You will get confirmation that the report has been filed, plus a number in case you need to follow up on that particular report.
