Artistic work is just like any other work that has the goal of profiting from one’s labours. However, most artists have to deal with people who want to use their work to profit without paying what is rightfully due to the artist/creator. Artistic work is protected by copyright law by virtue of the artist being the owner of the material.

As an artist, you will need to contact the infringer of your material first. Firmly ask them to take it down from online sources or be reported. Where the infringement has happened on social media or any other site contact the site admin directly and report the matter.
