Breobi is an online Shopify store originating from China. The website claims to sell various gifting items such as watches, realistic dolls and Halloween pumpkins. The store is suspect from the get-go as it looks incomplete despite being active for more than 3 months.
It seems that the website might be engaged in false advertising, as the images used to depict their products are possibly misleading. We found some evidence that the images being used have been copied from other websites. They also use real puppies pictures/ videos for their advertisement.
A look at the ‘About Us’ page of the website presents the text ‘You may have seen us, but who are we? ! We are a new type of internet e-commerce company.’ Our research revealed that this same snippet of text is being used by at least 274 websites and Facebook pages, all of which seem to be Chinese Shopify stores. The full list is given at the end of the website.

Marul Company Limited is registered in the UK under the name of Chinese nationals. We have reasons to believe, such as the domain names being registered in China, that these websites are being operated remotely from China while giving customers the impressions that Marul Company Limited is based in the UK.
We were able to confirm that all the website and Facebook pages are related by analyzing the IP addresses. We found that 194 out of 203 websites (95.6%) share IP addresses, meaning that they are operated by the same owners. This confirms that Marul Company Limited has set up an entire network or ecommerce stores.

The website is of low-quality and has not been fully-designed even months after being live. This shows that it is not a professional operation. The products being offered might not be genuine as the images being used are low-quality and seem to be copied from other websites.
