The title suggests that portn.com is a site for adult content.
Then when I try to access it, right off the bat porntn.com smells fishy. I tried to open the site with Mozilla Firefox browser and got this warning right here.
That was my first red flag. Through the Firefox monitor, consumers are usually warned of confirmed data breaches and notified about suspicious sites like these so that they proceed knowing the risks involved.
I trust Firefox. So I did not proceed. I looked for an alternative source.
I went on to check with ScamAdviser before going any further. ScamAdviser gives the site a high trust score of 85% which means it is leaning towards being safe.
It is also trusted by Trend Micro, another cybersecurity heavyweight.
Yet the same analysis shows the site to be young but with a high Alexa rank. Strange, isn’t it? That means though the site is fairly new, it is considerably popular.
The site is not designed to be discovered and indexed appropriately by search engines, which can mean that there is an attempt to avoid detection by search engines like Google.
Why is that? Maybe just poor web design but this lack of optimization seen on porntn.com is also characteristic of some scam sites that I have seen before.
I couldn’t find any reviews on porntn, which was rather odd for a site that has high traffic as suggested by the Alexa rank.
I cannot comment on the site content having seen these red flags and chosen not to access porntn.com. Sometimes it’s better to be safe than sorry.
