A Regular Joe’s Review of Onbela.com

Well, it’s Christmas season again! Every ecommerce site is decorating their online store with the theme of the season. I stumbled upon onbela.com while browsing the world wide web and ended up with more questions than answers.

Product Photos

I got curious and did a Google Image search for the product I wanted to buy as a gift for my dad. Then I found the same photo also on these sites: Walmart, Amazon, Etsy and AliExpress.

Since I know these above sites to be more credible, my suspicions about onbela began there. Onbela.com could have simply lifted those photos and planted them onto their site.

Prices

Then, since the images were appearing on several sites exactly the same way, it occurred to me to check the prices. What goes for $32.00 on Amazon was priced at $6.99 on Onbela. That was really fishy because it was the same product.

I also found it rather odd that every product on there is on offer at approximately half the price. Shown by a line across the old price then the new price alongside it in red.

Every item? No, this looks too good to be true!

Payment Options

Onbela lists several payment options but only the PayPal one seems to be ready for use because it opens a pop up that shows the China PayPal homepage, which doesn’t really add up because the site has the title “US Online Store Site”. Could it be a scam site?

The rest: Mastercard, Visa, Discover Network and American Express are only images for show. They don't connect you to those payment options.

Checkout Process

I tried to buy a gift item for my dad and then proceeded to checkout, but guess what happened? There was no page available! You better believe it. But don’t take my word for it, check it out yourself. I’d suggest you don’t put your real name and address there because you dont know who is collecting your information on the other end. It may be a phishing site.

Now I was really curious. So I tried to buy something else. None of the other products I tried went to checkout. Just the same old error, “Page Not Found” after I put my details.

What About Onbela.com Company Contacts?

The only contact is an email address: support@onbela.com. Nothing about the location of the company or any of its staff!

So, finally I just Googled the site and found one other site where customers have complained that Onbela seems to be fake. I couldn't find more reviews on it.
